Good Bye to Shimmy
One by one the puppies are heading away to new homes. Sweet Shimmy plays in the paddock with Alice. The last few days with our babies are precious. All too soon they will be gone.

GIRLA
We have one last girl puppy left in need of her forever home. Barahwolfe Girls Best Friend is from our Diamond litter. She is 8 weeks old and as much as Diamonds are a girls best friend, so too will this sweet heart be. (and well as mans best friend coz she is still a dog :) ) We call her Girla for now, but of course her new family could name her whatever they like.
First vaccinations, weaned, health checked and ready now.

New Zealand Champion Barahwolfe Caramel Velvet
Cody at the last show before his handler flew out of NZ. None of like this winter weather and outdoor shows in the rain are not fun!! I am not a fan of conformation dogs shows at the best of times but if its going to rain, it should be indoors. LOL... at least Cody didn't mind. He won Best of Breed again. But he is a handsome guy.
Putting to bed rumors.
My breeding girls all have clear eye certificates.
Both have been hip-scored, and no my dogs are not
being investigated for genetic problems. Nor are they
under the care of the veterinary specialists at Massey
University.
Please no more phone calls on this.
I know nothing about this matter and do not wish to be tarred with
the brush. We are an independent kennel in NZ.
All my dogs are healthy, screened for eye disease and
to my knowledge, all the puppies I have bred (I keep in contact with almost
all of the homes they go to) No one is having any kind of health issue.

The puppies are loving visitors.
We have just one sweet little girl puppy to help find
her forever home. So 'cliche' that expression - "forever home"
But really that is what we seek for them and what they
deserve. These are members of a very special and rare dog breed.
Each with such big personality and capacity for loyal loving
companionship for their very own person/people.
So far the others are settling in well.

Recently in Auckland Swedish Vallhund owners gathered to take their dogs for a walk. Here are three at the event, all girls from Barahwolfe Kennel. Left is Meg from our Rose litter (Possum X Tommy), and middle is Freiia from our Mistletoe litter (Possum X Kindle) and right is Flicka from our Vanilla litter (Tango X Tommy).
Barahwolfe are very proud of our lovely typey dogs; making their mark on the NZ scene. Nice solid examples of the breed that are loved and looked after by good families!!
